About the role
We are scaling our core real-time analytics SaaS platform for the e-commerce sector. We are looking for an experienced Python Developer to join our 6-person product engineering team and help us scale our microservices architecture. Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and optimize scalable microservices using Python and FastAPI Maintain and enhance asynchronous data pipelines utilizing Kafka and Redis Model efficient database schemas and write optimized queries in PostgreSQL Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and automated testing (pytest) Collaborate with the DevOps team on deployment workflows across AWS and Kubernetes Requirements: 3+ years of commercial software engineering experience with Python Strong hands-on proficiency with FastAPI, Django, or Flask Solid background in relational databases (PostgreSQL) and ORMs (e.g., SQLAlchemy) Practical experience with message brokers and event streaming (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ) Fluency with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and Git workflows Professional working proficiency in English (B2+ level for daily team communication) Nice to Have: Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS) and container orchestration (Kubernetes) Working knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB) Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) or Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles What We Offer: Flexible working hours (core hours: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM CET) Annual learning & development budget (€1,000 + 3 paid conference days) 26 days of paid time off on B2B contracts Hardware choice: Apple MacBook Pro (M-series) or Dell XPS + external monitor Comprehensive private healthcare and sports benefit package Recruitment Process: Initial intro call with a Talent Partner (30 min) Technical interview and collaborative live-coding session—no take-home tasks (75 min) Final decision and offer
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and deploy high-performance applications using React, TypeScript, Next.js.
- Participate in technical architecture reviews, engineering discussions, and sprint planning.
- Maintain high code quality standards through automated testing, peer code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate across cross-functional teams to translate customer feedback into production-grade features.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional engineering experience with modern TypeScript and React.
- Experience building high-performance web applications with Next.js App Router.
